Feel free to bring whatever you feel like shooting to this event, and we will put you into the appropriate division. Shooters using optics on any of their gun will be in the open division.

    Fee
    • Club Members shoot for free. All participants are expected to help in the conduct of the event by helping with setup, tear-down, target taping and score keeping as a non-monetary fee.

    Safety Considerations
    • Maximum shot size permitted is 7-1/2 shot lead shot only. This is to assure that no shot will leave the Range during the event. No armor piercing rifle rounds are allowed.

    Stages
    • A total of four stages will be used in the match. The stages will be designed to challenge different elements of shooting skills with some requiring speed with accuracy, some with accuracy and some with movement.
    • A number of “common sense” range rules are used for the safety of all participants:
    • The range is a COLD RANGE, which means that all shotguns are unloaded with actions open other than when shooting under the supervision of a Range Safety Officer. The actions of side-by-side and over-under shotguns may be closed while placed in the gun rack.

    Range Rules
    • When engaging the targets, shooters must observe the “180 Rule” which means that loaded firearms must be pointed down range at all times.
    • When moving between shooting positions, the shooter must have his/her finger outside of the trigger guard.
    • In moving between shooting positions, each shooter is encouraged to move only at a pace comfortable and safe for the shooter.

    Other Information
    • Targets generally consist of reactive metal targets, clays and cardboard IDPA targets.
    • Stages will require a minimum of five to eighteen shots of each firearm, with make-ups shots permitted for missed targets. Bring 50 rounds of shotgun and rifle ammo, 75 pistol ammo.
    • The Range Safety Officer and/or Match Director can answer any questions participants have about the rules.
